IN THIS LESSON
What Are Your Stress Triggers?
Stress can build gradually, and sometimes we don’t realise just how much pressure we are carrying. Recognising what triggers your stress is the first step towards making positive changes.
-
Add a short summary or a list of helpful resources here.
-
Take a few quite minutes to reflect on the situations that tend to increase your stress. Think about what is happening, how you feel physically and emotionally, and how you usually respond.
Write down three situations that regularly trigger stress for you. Beside each one, note one small change that could help make that situation feel more manageable.
-
Stress often gives us warning signs before we reach the point of feeling overwhelmed. These might be physical, emotional or changes in the way we behave.
Think about what happens when your stress begins to build. Do you become more tired, irritable, tense, tearful or withdrawn? Perhaps you struggle to switch off, sleep poorly or feel that everything is becoming too much.
Write down three early warning signs you notice in yourself. Recognising them sooner can help you take action before your stress becomes harder to manage.
